The National Science Foundation supports the LearnToMod project through a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research grant. ThoughtSTEM and the LearnToMod Team greatly appreciate the NSF’s support to bring coding to kids around the world. Funding from the NSF and government agencies lets us do awesome things like offer LearnToMod to teachers for free.
The LearnToMod Team is excited to announce our partnership with the Advanced Computing Group at the University of Maine on an NSF ITEST project to deliver LearnToMod STEM+CS programs to students across the state of Maine, particularly to students in rural areas. Throughout this 3-year partnership, our team will be helping UMaine researchers develop STEM learning materials and infrastructure to engage 960 middle school students and 72 teachers in 24 middle schools throughout Maine.
We work closely with UCSD Extension K-12 on various educational projects around the Greater San Diego area. You can see what we’re working on here.
